Culture Heritage Awareness Training Program
August 22-29, 2025

Watch for updates for the 2026 training program!

The purpose of the program was to provide Land-based learning to identify, document and steward culture heritage (archaeological sites, artifacts and local knowledge).

Participants learned how culture heritage can enhance Indigenous identity and wellness.

Learning to recognize evidence of Land use by Inuit, Dene and Cree Ancestors is the first step to including culture heritage into land management. This program demonstrated the practices of culture heritage management.
